With the BTS Documentary we creatively decided to also take the opportunity to look back on 3-years of collaboration with GMP having worked together on the 22’ and 21’ launch events we had a special insight into how the show had grown year-on-year which we reflected in the interviews and look-back footage. 

We hear from all areas of the production team, from Owen Gundry the Production Designer behind the staging, Gurdip Mahal the Lighting Director who brought the visually stunning car reveal moment to life, Gino Moodley from the Luna Remote Systems who rigged the inverted railcam, Joanna Elahee the Production Lead ensuring everything ran smoothly and of course Jan Genesis the Creative Director who Leads the entire project bringing together all the teams. 

Off-camera but integral to the shoot are Over Exposed who run the Outside Broadcast Truck, rigging and Cameras and Camera Teams, so this truly is a huge and inclusive collaboration alongside the vast Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team from all areas of their business who work to get the car ready for the show and of course the track. 

For the launch we created bespoke visual effects and brand themed animations, and colour washes to give the social content its own identity, while being consistent with the fantastic broadcast footage by OverExposed adding a social-focused edge alongside split screens, glitches and picture-in-picture effects to build engagement.

We’re very pleased to see the huge success of the social media films that went live on the Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 channels.

All in all a complimentary set of films to go alongside the incredibly successful live stream itself that saw more than 1.3 million views on YouTube alone. Taking the views across platforms to well over 2.5 million views if not more.
